“The enamel damage caused by non-cola and sports beverages was three to 11 times greater than cola-based drinks, with energy drinks and bottled lemonades causing the most harm to dental enamel,” he said.

Coke zero/diet might not have calories but it has other stuff in it that we do not want to know about probably… LOL. but it’s possible to have no calories i would think… water has no calories and so does alot of teas… diet uses those sugar substitutes that might cause cancer though so becareful

Mr. Pink, water is a solute that all living organisms use to transport and store nutrients and building materials, while diet coke has a bunch of added carcogenic chemicals for flavoring…

i havent drank soda on a regular basis for years…the ONLY time i have soda is to make my vodka taste a bit better (minimal amount, mind you)…but id worry more about the alcohol than the soda in that situation.

i only drink water and soymilk (im lactose intolerant)…with an occasional vitamin water. vitamin water is a really good thirst quencher, and has a bit less sugar than gatorade.

I like diet coke better than regular coke, but I barely ever drink it anyway. I drink water, milk, tea, and coffee and that works for me. I play to do intramurals in college, so that might help. I could easily see myself getting excited over an all-you-can-eat dessert table, though…that could be a problem!

I never drink coke. Water, alcohol, and slimfasts occasionally. I never have, it’s a horrible habit. I did know one girl who lost 10 pounds after she gave up her 3 coke a day habit for 3 diet cokes a day. But the diet cokes are so bad for you. They may not have calories but all that crap in it plus they rot your teeth. As for alcohol, just don’t drink beer. Beer is so fattening, and drinking light beer doesn’t make it any better, you have to drink twice the amount to get as drunk, and it’s mroe than half the calories. Just go for the liquor, it’s quicker and less fattening.
I have this whole thing that I don’t eat a lot the days I know I’m going to party so i don’t have to drink as much and I won’t be consuming more calories. I know I’ll probably get flamed that that’s really unhealthy, but I’ve been doing it for years and it’s worked well.

Nah, I do the same thing. If you eat dinner it’s probably fine. Also, if you know your limits and stop when you’re drunk, you’d have taken in less alcohol and calories than usual.

I eat every two-three hours and it keeps body fat down pretty well.

Measure your body fat with a caliper don’t use those stupid electro shock things or the charts…especially if you’re an athlete…the body fat chart says im grotesquely overweight (like 35%) but in reality I have 13%

I think I need to do that too. I stepped on one of those bodyfat scales and it told me I had a 25% fat composition at a BMI of 19. ;__; If it’s right, I need to lose another BMI or two in order to lower that to at least 20%. I am an (well, more of a “was/am”) athlete, and I have a lot of muscle, so hopefully that fat composition is a little bit off?
