My friend told me that he read a college-guide book named ‘A is for…(I cannot remember)’. The book supposedly claims that Penn or Princeton, though he didn’t remember which one, does not take high school freshman grade into account. Does anyone know about this?

it’s Princeton

Even better!

then Penn looks at frosh grades?

perhaps " a is for admission"?

Yeah, it’s that book. And yes, Penn looks at frosh grade.

Except for international students. Penn only says “complete a program that would allow the applicant to enroll in his/her own country’s universities.”

Some universities, such as Taiwan National University, the best university in Taiwan, only requires 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Then high schoolers in Taiwan applying for Penn will only need to submit 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.

^ is that true?! Why doesn’t my counselor tell me ANYTHING… I can’t believe this. Can anyone explain more about this? I’m also an international student so this is a big issue for me. I was worried about my whole GPA; my freshman grades doesn’t look good since I was in Korea, where students are required to take twelve subjects. Twelve, Insane.
