<p>what are the pros and cons of this dorm?</p>

<p>It’s brand new, so you really couldn’t ask for a better building. It’s almost on top of the Sigma Chi house on Fraternity Row, so I’m sure there will be a lot going on. I really can’t see a downside, as it’s in the middle of campus. Though it could be loud any time there are parties on the Row. But you probably won’t be asleep during those times anyways.</p>

<p>I’m rooming in Freshman II and this is some of the info that my RA has shared about the dorms:
"Regarding the naming, Emory is basically waiting for a large donation to name the buildings. Until then, the buildings will either be known as Freshman II/Freshman III, Swoop/Dooley (don’t know which building would be which here…), or collectively, the LG for Living Green…but we can say it stands for Life’s Good :).</p>

<p>Building III is a little bit ahead on construction; construction of Building II encountered a couple of technical issues, delaying construction. Both buildings will have a 60" plasma screen in their respective lobbies. Building III is going to be purely residential (5 floors if I recall correctly). Half of Building II will be residential and the other half will be the half with fun stuff.
In that other half, there will be a demonstration kitchen (range will have camera(s) over it for cooking demos), freshmen academic dean offices, and seminar rooms. In addition, there will be a recycling center, and both buildings will be littered (interesting word choice, eh?) with study lounges. Both buildings will also have elevators.</p>

<p>ahaha yeah, the person who posted that is going to be my RA next year on the 3rd floor of Fresh II!</p>
