I go to a private college prep school. my GPA is 3.4, but this year was rough for me. If I plan on getting As for the rest of my high school career, and take honors and AP, will I be able to get into these colleges…

University of Michigan
NYU
Possibly Wharton.

I want to go into finance and have two years of internship at a financial advisory firm, and a startup company. I also have started a few online businesses.

My parents both went to Michigan. Do I haven shot at getting accepted?

LOL: I know your question is asked sincerely but if a random internet stranger said: “NO CHANCE” what will you do? Not aim for all As your remaining years? Just drop out? Move to a pig farm and be a laborer?

Really. Your prediction of your future accomplishment linked to a few colleges is irrelevant. Your goal should be to maximize your achievement, get ready for solid ACT/SAT testing, explore the ECs that interest you, and then meet w/your guid counselors to craft a good list of schools to target.

You’re not ecstatic about a 3.4. I get that. But your motivation to knocking out a 4.0 from here on out can only partially be linked to colleges you want to attend. Plus you need to examine why you didn’t get the GPA you wanted.
