<p>ok i’m freaking out. i just moved into sleeper 5th floor and its predominantly sophomores. i understand that people usually meet their friends on their floor and since on my floor its soph’s who are already friends this puts me in a huge predicament. will it be more difficult for me to make friends?? i’m also worried that people on other floors will make friends with their frosh floormates and i will be left out. i really dont know what to do…im screwed!</p>
<p>haha, the same thing is happenning to me, I’m in shelton and there’s like only one other freshman on my floor, who I havent met yet and everyone else seems to know every other person here. There’s an RHA meeting for freshmen tonight so I guess I’ll meet some people there. I dont think we have anything to worry about, we’ll meet people in our dorms soon enough.</p>
<p>Take advantage of having sophs on your floor. They just went through freshman year and can share their experiences with you, i.e. which profs to avoid, what’s hot and what’s not both on and off campus, etc. </p>
<p>Enjoy the opportunity to meet and interact with students from all class levels!</p>
<p>Attend SPLASH and get involved in activites. Go on BUnite LIVEJOUNAL opr LIVEJOURNAL for BU10 and see what the other FReshman are doing and try and meet up with them. The first week of classes will be a lot of “get to know you” especially in the smaller writing classes so use that time to meet students at WEST. If it really stays a problem, there is a dorm switch process that occurs, I think after the first week or two. Ask your RA for advice. There may be a Soph. on A Freshman floor that will swap with you. It happens a lot. Your RA can explain the swap process. Remember its only been a couple of days. You’ll meet a lot more people.</p>
<p>we thought of maybe swapping with a soph but we are in a triple and it could maybe get complicated. do the different floors interact?</p>
<p>Do you have a dining hall in the dorm? That’s a good place to meet people. Did you have a floor meeting last night? S’s floor in Warren had one. Your WR 100 and WR 150 class will be all freshmen. You’ve been there just a few days, don’t freak out.</p>
<p>visit the 6th floor of sleeper… there’s lots of freshmen here. i’m actually a sophomore, but i won’t bite.</p>
<p>Don’t be too worried. I’m a female freshmen living on an all-male floor with upperclassmen. I’m wondering how the housing office figured that one out.</p>
