<p>When is freshman orientation usually held? in the middle of summer? or a few days before fall semester starts? anyone know?</p>

<p>About those hotel reservations: you can save a bundle by sleeping in a different town and driving twenty or thirty miles to Cornell. I suggest Cortland or Elmira.</p>
