Freshman Quarter

So I’m a Business Economics major, and currently, I’m in English Composition 3 with Guiliano, Astronomy 3 with Larkin, and French 3 with Jansma.

I would like to hear some comments about my current schedule. I’m thinking about adding Economics 1 with Sproul and I know that since I’m a freshman, it’s recommended that I only take three classes, but I kinda want to get ahead.

That schedule doesn’t sound too hard, but just remember that you only have one freshman year and you want to start off well. You’re going to want to spend as much time as possible socializing and just getting used to the new life before you dive in academically.

Is there any particular reason for choosing Astro 3? I think it would be a good idea to take a class in your major your first quarter, but it’s also a good idea to stick to 3 classes. It’s better to get ahead in your major than in your GE’s.

Oh, at the time, I didn’t have much time to think about it when it came to enrolling. Then is it your recommendation that I drop Astro 3 and enroll in Economics 1?

I’m debating between actually enrolling in Economics 1 or Economics 41. Anyone got any advice?

Sproul is easy as ****.

Basically, go to lecture, take notes, memorize said notes/graphs, regurgitate on quizzes/tests, get A’s.

I did this with Sproul for 1,2,and 11, got A’s in all - although I think it screwed me when I took 101 when I didn’t know much (but I put most of that on 11 as 1/2 are really really really basic)
