<p>So I got in Penn and received this freshman reply card. It says that by signing it I confirm that Penn is my single choice school and that I am not holding “confirmed” positions in other schools. So does it mean that I should say “no” to other schools first before signing and sending the card with deposit? Is the position considered “confirmed” only if you send the deposit to school?

<p>Basically the reply card says that you are telling Penn that you are going there for sure. You don’t necessarily have to inform the other schools first, but you are agreeing you will say no to other schools. My friend simply isn’t sending any reply cards in and waiting to pass the deadline save the school he wants to go to.</p>
