They say one page: is that one page single spaced, or double spaced? How long is yours?

It’s supposed to be 500 words and not more than 4000 characters with spaces.

It’s supposed to be single spaced (it doesn’t really matter… it has to fit in that box, without the scrolly bar appearing)

Mine were only about 2800 characters though.

It’s like pulling teeth

Zant - how do you know it’s single spacing? Where does it say that?

It’s at max supposed to fit in the box without a scroll. That’s really the only guideline you need: fit it into the box.

I read it somewhere…anyway, yea fit in the box.

Haha it’s August 12 here already and I haven’t started writing my essays - I think I’ll leave it for the spring…

I just finished my first one. Dammit, I keep getting distracted by shiny things! I honestly can’t think of much to write for my second choice, though. I’ll probably just write a paragraph and call it a day…

shooooot i still haven’t even decided if i want to do a frosh seminar. and i have my writing in the spring. I DONT KNOW WHAT IM GOING TO DO WITH MYSELF NEXT YEAR. seriously. not a clue.

i was set on integrated sciences until i read “not meant for pre-med students”. the first thought that came to mind was “oh crap”. but then i think i mainly want to be pre-med cause i don’t really know what else to do with a science major. and i definitely and totally want to major in something scientific. suggestions or comments anyone?

pegdiver - i’m sure they still let premeds in! have you thought about engineering?

Why is it not for pre-med majors? Because it doesn’t fulfill the med school requirements? I think you should keep your options open, so in case you want to go to med school, you don’t have to make up any classes. So if that’s the reason why they recommend premed ppl not to take int sciences, you probably shouldn’t :(

The only problem I see with it for pre-med is it might not fulfill the “one year of physics” requirement. I’m not entirely sure if they mean you have to have one year of physics at whatever level, or if they mean you need to know the equivalent of one year’s intro physics. I’m not sure but I think for chem the requirement is waived if you place into orgo, and you would, since int. sci. replaces CHM 201-202. Or they might make you take another semester of higher level physics to prove you know the stuff.
