Hey again!
Took time away from all things school related to work and save up, very proud to say I’ve paid for my first semester at a community college and plan to apply for transfer to the University of Connecticut for the second semester.
This forum has been a wonderful place to meet and talk to others about my concerns, so I’m back with a question.
I’ve filled out my entire transfer application, and have 2 things I’d like help with.
- Is there anybody who would be willing to read over my transfer essay? I’ve already completed it, I’d just like someone to go over it and critique it.

2) The application asks how many credits I’ve completed at my current school. So far I only have 4 college credits from an AP exam, am enrolled to take 15 for the fall, and want to take 6 credits over winter break. This totals up to 25 credits before my transfer will take effect. What should I do, should i write UCONN an extra letter, explaining this situation? I won’t have the credits until the end of the semester in December, but the deadline is Oct. 1st for application.

3) Will applying earlier give me better chances of being accepted, say, if I applied now?
Or should I wait until after my school has at least been in session a few weeks before sending my application?

Thanks very much everyone who reads, hope to hear from someone soon :)
