I am an incoming freshman at USC majoring in accounting. I am going to take stats second semester. What textbook do I need for that class? I know the official book list hasn’t come out yet but what books have been used in the past?

In the schedule of classes [MATH | USC Schedule of Classes](302 Found) you can look up the class and click on the little icon that looks like three books stacked up under “info” on the right side. That will give you the book list for that particular class/section. If you are taking it next semester, be aware that sometimes different instructors use different texts and the book may change editions semester-to-semester. You don’t mention which stats class you are taking, but currently listed for:

MATH 208x: Elementary Probability and Statistics (this is the only section)

And for MATH 218: Probability for Business (all sections)
For MATH 307 (Only one section): Statistical Inference and Data Analysis I

If your class isn’t one of these, just go to the schedule of courses and click on the book icon to the right of the section listing.
