<p>i just completed my first term at Dartmouth and i am going to use this break to look into summer internships and see if i even want to do any. I started my search and hit a lot of road blocks because most of them want sophomores and juniors. does any parents know of any that will take freshman? preferably at a college? i’ll work at a private business or something in my other summers…thanks!</p>

<p>As a parent of an 08 I am suprised that you have not checked with Career Services for an internship. I believe thatthey even sent out notices to the 08’s . What type of internship are you trying to get. You can probably get one in Hanover, if you feel like staying up there. In addition I think you can also apply to lead a DOC trip or be part of the Hanover Crew.</p>

<p>i have checked with career services, but i didn’t set an appointment, just looked at the books and portfolios they have by myself. i’ll eventually get to them, just haven’t had time yet…and i think i wanna get away from hanover this summer…maybe go somewhere like Cali or some other place i have never been to</p>
