I am a prospective Davidson THINK Summer Institute applicant. If you know anything about the program, you know the SAT minimums are quite high.

Upon receiving my October SAT scores, I found that I didn’t make the CR/M combined minimum (1130, or 70th percentile), however, I made a 75th percentile score when the writing section is considered.

If I could improve my math score by 10 points (realistic) and my CR by 60 (also realistic) for the Dec SAT, then I would be at the minimum for THINK.

However, I know that 9th grade SAT scores will remain on my record until 12th grade. Will two 2007 score reports look bad to adcoms?

Alternatively, I could create a new College Board account in 12th grade, as I live in two homes and I could list my other address. I’m not sure if this is against some sort of rule.

Any feedback is appreciated, as I only have two days to decide if I will sign up for the December SAT date.

Brilliant plan trying to manipulate CB with 2 accounts (sarcasm). Watch them just cancel all your scores when they find that out because you use the same name. 2 SAT scores doesn’t make a dif to adcoms. That only happens when you take the SAT 3 or more times.
However, I don’t think that you are going to see any vast improvements within such a short period. You are really flipping a coin by retaking it because it would all come to luck.

Okay, so making two CB accounts is not a good plan, haha.

But the issue is that I’m only a FRESHMAN… thus taking the SAT twice this year means I’ll start out my junior year with two score reports on my record. If I take the SAT once in my junior year and once in my senior year, I’ll be up to four total times.

Since you are a freshman, they won’t count it so much against you if you take it a COUPLE times early on. I mean to say that they only start caring if you take it 4 times in a row in your junior/senior years.

Just retake and pray for the score you need. If you miss it, you shoot yourself in both feet.
