Long story short, I went to a school and took a major(Computer Engineering) I don’t like based on my parents decision. Now I am really depressed by this decision because I am really bad at STEM. My GPA is dying(3.0-3.3 estimation) and I am overwhelmed by the workload. I cannot change major since my school is only good for its engineering, with a major ranking of top5 in nation.
I gave up many prestigious school, including top 30, and scholarship.
I am frustrated to find that most top ranking schools requires sophomore year standing. I also cannot find recommendation in this public university. All my professors only appear in lecture. Even office hour is held by TA. Plus I have a bad GPA. Is there anything I can do? Or is there any advice on what school I should apply?
I am thinking of my previously admitted school, Brandeis, but I don’t believe my chance will be high considering my low GPA, and I won’t get my scholarship again.
