In case any of the uninitiated stumble across this, I’m 95% certain it’s a ■■■■■ post. If it’s not a ■■■■■ post, OP needs a chill pill.

^ amen. I’m so tired of these posts.

umm im new here and it wasnt a ■■■■■ post…

i guess ill just drop the discussion then.

sorry if i broke any rules… :(

Chill out. Anything above a 4 is way above average and great. Keep it up and continue working hard.

… Of course it’s a good GPA… Don’t be too hard on yourself.

ninja,

What people are trying to say is to work hard at your classes but also enjoy HS and do the things you like. If you go too crazy about grades in fr year, you may well burn out before college admissions time.

One piece of advice, every school has they own weighting system, so your weighted gpa doesn’t mean much to people outside your HS. It would be more meaningful to report your UW gpa as people here have a reference (4.0) for that. The weighting will be reflected in what your GC says about the rigor of your coursework (as I explained in your other thread about AP classes).

Also, what is a ‘good’ gpa is relative to many things, including the schools you are applying to.

You have lots of time, so rather than staring lots of threads asking questions, I recommend you read current threads or use the Search function and learn about the admission process. And get to know the regular members, not all advice is created equal on internet forums, it is up to you to use due diligence in distinguishing credible information from junk.
