Freshman Year: Journal Entry

<p>We are working on updating a well-known book for parents about kids heading off to college - and what to expect. At present, the book contains two journal entries - one from a freshman in 1924 and one from a freshman in 1984. Interestingly, both journal entries touch on many of the same thoughts and emotions - loneliness, concerns about identity and perception by others, and a sense of being somewhat overwhelmed. </p>

<p>We are interested in including an excerpt from a freshman year journal entry from a student in the present college generation. </p>
