Freshman Year

I am set on doing the CAP program for UT Austin. I’m going to be doing my first year at UTSA. I was wondering how big/important/memorable/significant of an experience the freshman year of college is, because I feel I won’t be getting the “experience” until I go to a bigger “non-commuter” school such as UT. I know it could still be fun, but I’m just wondering If i should’ve went to a school like OU or LSU for all 4 years instead. ( the trade-off being all 4 years at a big college not as good academically compared to a year of small college, and then UT, much greater academically)

I wanted to dorm at a college the first year, but because I’m going to UTSA, i just chose an off-campus apartment, b/c I know I wouldn’t get the “dorm” feeling to the extent of another college anyways, because there’s so many commuters at UTSA, and it’s still growing in Campus Life.

I am just curious to know. I’d appreciate some input. Thanks.

Yes, you should have gone to a school like OU or LSU, which are great academically.
If you still can, get into a dorm at UTSA.
