<p>My D will be a freshman from the West Coast this Fall. Coming home at Thanksgiving seems highly impractical. </p>
<p>What do freshmen who live far away from H generally do at Thanksgiving? Do many stay in the dorms? Are there any organized Thanksgiving dinners for those not going home?</p>

<p>Some do stay in dorms and they can go to a cafeteria to have a Thanksgiving meal. Others are often invited by their roommates or other friends. And some go visiting friends in other cities.</p>
<p>Plenty of students stay for Thanksgiving. (The only times during the year you can’t stay in the dorms are winter and spring breaks). Don’t forget that a large portion (I know more recent classes have had about 20%) of students are from other countries.</p>
