Freshmen business curriculum? LLC?

Can anyone with knowledge of the business school go thru a typical schedule for a freshman and sophomore? The website seems silent on this and we want to get a feel for what might be ahead at pitt for someone with possible interest in accounting, finance or business info systems. How big are the lecture halls as a freshman and are professors accessible? Also any comments about the business LLC would be appreciated

Thx

Hey! There are two current students in the business school who are documenting their experience in CBA as part of a project we are doing in the Office of Admissions. You can follow them on Twitter and Instagram and reach out to them with questions, they would be happy to talk to you.

@H2Pmaddie - Maddie is a freshman in marketing and part of the Business LLC.
@H2Ptyler - Tyler is a sophomore double majoring in finance and supply chain management.

I have a son who is finishing up his Freshman year and lives in the LLC in Bruce Hall. He really likes it there. The rooms have been completely renovated–new flooring/carpeting, furniture, kitchen appliances, etc… and they are very spacious. They can easily have friends visit and hang out in the living room and not disturb their roommates who are in their bedrooms. All of his roommates are in the Business Program but each has a different focus. They don’t have any classes together but can help one another with homework, etc… The only drawback that he’s mentioned is that it’s been hard to get to know anyone on his floor. Since it’s apartment style, most people keep their doors closed. My son and his roommates prop their door open daily but they are the second to the last room on the hall so not many people walk past their room. That would not prevent him from choosing the LLC though.

@screenname409, DS and I just returned from an admitted students day where we attended a very impressive presentation by the College of Business Administration (CBA). We received a packet that includes a 4-page Curriculum Guide for the BSBA degree, listing all courses required for each of the CBA majors, with electives. If this would be useful to you, you could ask the CBA to send it to you.

Thx for the great info guys. We are attending the cba accepted students event 3/27 and look forward to seeing more. Appreciate the bruce hall testimonial
