<p>I remember when my daughter was accepted to Cal Poly, we were thrilled. But, my husband said his *only *reservation was the fact that she needed to declare a major and switching wouldn’t be as simple as in other universities. He changed majors twice at Stanford. 
However, since our daughter seems to know what she wants to do in grad school and feels that her undergrad degree will help prepare her, it hasn’t been an issue, so far. Of course, she’s just finishing her first quarter. But, I’m confident that she’ll stick with it. In fact, she’s hoping to add a minor which will also benefit her in her career after grad school.</p>
