RPI:You have not registered for classes yet?

Jason: how do i know which classes are necessary? i have found the rpi scheduler and installed it, but i have no idea what classes i must take. are there any prerequisites or general education classes that are required?

RPI: Jason, All incoming freshman should have registered on January 9th. Please speak with your advisor or come into the Registrars office in Academy Hall for assistance in registering for classes. Have a nice day.
Sincerely,
Laura Rougia

Are you starting at RPI in Spring of 2009 or Fall of 2009? If you were starting in Spring 2009 the staffer’s response makes sense since Spring semester started on January 12th. But if you are not starting until Fall of 2009 you will register for classes this summer in July or August during your chosen orientation session. During the orientation you will be academically advised by RPI staff members, given information about course requirements and course descriptions. If you have AP scores to be considered for credit by RPI, be sure to have them sent directly to RPI by College Board (when you take your AP exam you can make the request at time of exam or you can request it later). If RPI has your scores before your orientation they will be able to let you know what courses have been waived before you go to register for Fall classes. So, if you are not entering RPI until the Fall, you have not missed anything yet.
