Freshmen registering to vote in the November election

What do students need to do to get registered to vote in Pennsylvania? Is that something they can do on campus?

Don’t register to vote in PA. Do an absentee ballot, otherwise any state grants you may have could get taken away.

She already registered in PA. Apparently there was a way to do it on campus at Lehigh.

You won’t lose your grants just by registering to vote at college. Students do it both ways. My kids have always voted absentee in our home state while in college, but could easily have registered and noted in their college state. They can Google how to register in their state – usually the Secretary of State website has info. Or if there is a college group on campus for their preferred political party, they usually have info as well.

I just sent my kid the link for the absentee ballot. I did not realize that you could register to vote in your college state.

At Penn and Lehigh yesterday and people came up to me in both places asking if I was registered to vote in PA, or would like register. They could do it right there. It seems like it is very easy to do.
