how does my freshmen year at a state college affect me???

Are you are a sophomore transfer? If so, your odds are very low since junior transfers get priority and cal states get last priority. I don’t think you coming from a state college will affect you too badly once you apply as a junior transfer, Get your GPA higher and compare it to the average GPA for the major you are applying under.

hey Emilio, I did the same thing you are doing, I did my freshman year at Sonoma State (hated it), and then came back home and started the summer before my 2nd year at my local JC. I transferred my Junior year, I applied to all those schools you listed and got into all of them except UCLA… My advice is to just finish strong at your JC and I say you have really really high chances of getting into all those schools,
