<p>“Virginia Tech family members across the country have united to declare this Friday, April 20, an “Orange and Maroon Effect” day to honor those killed in the tragic events on the campus Monday, and to show support for Virginia Tech students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and friends. “Orange and Maroon Effect” was born several years ago as an invitation to Tech fans to wear orange and maroon to Virginia Tech athletic events. Everyone across the country, including the Caltech community, is invited to be a part of the Virginia Tech family this Friday, to wear orange and maroon to support the families of those who were lost, and to support the school and community we all care about so much.”</p>

<p>I’ll be wearing orange and maroon on Friday. I’m so saddened by the events at Virginia Tech on Monday. It seems the least I can do. This is my invitation for the CC community to wear orange and maroon on Friday.</p>

<p>I think that that would be a wonderful way to show support for the VT community! I’ll proudly wear maroon and orange this Friday.</p>

<p>I’ll wear it too, I actually have a Va. Tech football shirt :)</p>

<p>I know that for Penn State Universitys spring football game, a section of the crowd will be wearing the maroon and orange.</p>

<p>The Washington Nationals baseball team all wore VT caps during their game on Tuesday night. They then signed them and are sending them down to Tech, with lots of sympathy and heartfelt wishes.</p>

<p>I hope everyone will show their support!</p>
