Friend rescinded from UC Merced - What can they do?

So my friend just found out that they have been dropped from UC merced for having an incomplete transcript. The only thing they were missing was the graduation date. They notified this person once after receiving the first incomplete transcript and then she sent another transcript (with the correction) and a letter explaining what happened (this was a month or two ago). Now they find out that they have been dropped. What’s the deal? Has this happened to anyone before and what can they do? Who to contact? I’m really trying to help my friend.

Merced says that they can come during the spring but I think it’s complete bull that this even happened. It won’t be the same, they had already chosen a doormate, paid the dorm deposit, went through orientation and registered for classes.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated…

Did UCM get the second, complete transcript?
Get the high school involved. Take a UCM admissions phone number to the high school and sit with somebody while they get on the phone and figure out what happened with the transcript.

Any chance this revolves around a certain cousin of mine from MHS?

In any case, talk to the registrar and have them email+call UCM’s admissions officials. If this is my cousin, I’ve already told her the same thing :)

[UC Merced People Search](<a href=“UCM Directory”>UCM Directory)

I’d contact E. Ruiz, the director of the admissions office.

did your friend…did your cousin…
get back into merced or are they still rescinded?
