I was consistently scoring a 31+ composite on the 1296 practice test (which I’ve heard are harder), but I just took the 2011-2012 ACT Booklet test and scored a 29 (28.75). Any ideas? I scored lower in every section in the ACT Booklet compared to my section scores in the 1296 book!

where did you manage to find act 2011-2012 booklet? can you give me the site?

The counseling office at my school.

When you say 31+, what was your highest? There usually a range of scores you can expect. You could simply be at the other end of that range.

That is very strange because I took the test from that booklet last night and got my best score ever… 33, which for me is fantastic because I am terrible at standardized tests. I haven’t used the 1296 but it was significantly better than my scores from ‘Cracking the ACT’ and others. My second best scores have been from the red book.

I am planning to take two more from ACT booklets (05-06 and 08-09) before Saturday to see if it was a fluke!
