I love the stories linked in post #1 and post #2. This is what makes education in the U.S. so remarkable. I think we have the best system in place to offer opportunity to rise above your birth or life circumstances. I love it that both were late bloomers. So cool to see this happening.

Sometimes I lose perspective on College Confidential. It is very humbling to realize how much the community colleges can inspire people and become the great springboard.

Totally agree with post #2 as well.

Many of my best students are transfers from community colleges and late bloomers who started their degrees in their twenties. It’s always inspiring to read these stories!
