<p>“I used to see unemployed people and think they were lazy, that it was all on them. Now it’s happened to me.”</p>
<p>Someone got a reality check. Reading his story, I can’t help but wonder why someone would take on a mortgage for five times his annual salary. He was living beyond his means and got burned.</p>
<p>Definitely living beyond his means. It sucks to be laid off, but a part of his predicament still does lie with himself.</p>
