Did all the parents on here get an email from admissions about supporting our students this week?

yes. i cant decide if its just a really nice gesture to parents during this time, or a precursor to a rejection

Parent did not receive one, but I don’t remember if I put their names down for contact or not

We got one. I am interpreting as just a nice gesture, not precursor to denial.

EDIT: for future reference, my kid was accepted. The email had no relation to decision

yes, I’m sure that everyone (even those who are accepted) received one. Just a general email

I did not receive that email but I received an email saying the date changed
we applied for summer as my daughter was on the lower side of the GPA but her ACT score was in the middle.

Wonder when the status will change to awaiting decision? There’s no way they’re still reviewing my application lol

Also fwiw I was told that the supporting your student email went out to everyone
Who knows lol ?

The entire graphic that showed under review, etc is gone now. Who knows?!

Checking the FSU email, the results will be released around 6pm ET.

It’s crazy they are waiting so long to release the decisions
they already know who is admitted. They’ve already sent the decisions to the high schools in Florida. I work at a Florida high school and my College and Career Counselor got the information around 10:30AM.

They “mid-50%” numbers for Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 is crazy this year.

what are the mid 50 numbers for summer and fall

Decisions at pretty much 99.9% of schools are released after hours so as you do not have a barrage of phone calls of complaints and questions.

I imagine they do not want kids getting bad news while they are in school. They also don’t want parents/students calling admissions as soon as they receive a decision. That six o’clock time allows them time to process good or bad news when the applicants are not surrounded by classmates and the admissions office is closed for the day.
