well I was sitting here next to my roommate. Both of us on our laptops and bam. Everything goes dark. We think it is just us in reynolds but we look out of the window and the entire campus is dark. Luckily the halls seem to have emergency power so they are lit and the internet is still up. So right now im here sitting in the dark waiting for my laptops battery to run out.

It would have sucked to be outside walking in this.

I am in Tally right now. I was driving on Apalachee Parkway (sp?) and suddenly lights were off, then on. But many street lights remain out, many signals are flashing only, and I decided to head back to the hotel, where the power is back on. I didn’t think it was THAT cold out, and I am from South Florida.

So its tallahasee as a whole then. Thats great. Hopefully they will have this fixed by the time I wake up tomorrow because once my laptop goes dead, im screwed.

Small plane went down on the corner of Tennessee and Ocala, taking major power lines with it. Pilot injured but not badly. Plane is sitting nose down and tail up. How the pilot got that plane down (had made distress calls) in that area the way he did without taking out more than just power lines is amazing. First pictures out were cell phone pictures by students. News has some additional footage.
