FSU or UCF help

I recently got accepted to ucf and the fsu care program. My major is going to be engineering and I know that ucf has a better engineering program but the fsu care program help a lot more with financial aid. Which one should I choose?

That’s a tough question, lots of unknowns… :-?

However, even though UCF’s program is stronger, FSU/FAMU’s program is ABET accredited. So, it’s not a “bad” program. If the aid is enough, by all means go to FSU. You’ll still do fine. You may have to work a bit harder to get an internship, co-op, etc…but the $$$ will make it worth your effort and after your first job or two, which college you got your BS in will not matter…

Good Luck!

I’d go with FSU Care, it’ll prepare you really well to start in the Fall, especially for a major as hard as engineering, which will require you to hit the ground running.
FSU’s engineering program is very well-respected (probably as respected as UCF’s) and engineering is not prestie-based but performance-based: do well and you’ll be hired by the same companies as UCF’s graduates who did well, you’ll be paid the same as them, and if they don’t do well they won’t be hired. Your personal performance and internships are what matters in engineering, not the school’s name.
To top it off, FSU offers more support and more money: what’s not to like?
CONGRATULATIONS, FSU has become really competitive, so you can very proud of yourself. Congratulations: you’re going to college!!!
