FSU Purchases Vast Database With Orange Bowl Proceeds

FSU bought the U.S. Congressional Research Digital Collection (CRDC) archive -- a vast database containing the full text of 175 years of Congressional information.

Until the collection's debut last year, such a complete compilation had never been available to the public from a single source.

"It has been our plan to use this significant windfall for acquisitions that will benefit all the libraries on campus," said University Libraries Director Bill Summers. "The CRDC archive is our first such purchase and encompasses a valuable collection that will support research across nearly all academic disciplines at FSU."
