NSSE Reports on the Quality of Students’ College Experience
Since the survey’s inaugural launch in spring 2000, approximately 1.5 million students enrolled at more than 1,300 colleges and universities have completed the survey.
Each year the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE, pronounced “nessie”) collects information directly from students at hundreds of colleges and universities. Responses to the survey provide valuable information about the extent to which students are engaged in practices known to promote student learning. NSSE was selected as one data resource for the Voluntary System of Accountability (VSA) because its results relate to core elements of educational quality and its uniform data collection procedures encourages confidence in results, enabling comparisons across institutions.

    The breadth of institutions participating in NSSE permits colleges and universities to benchmark themselves against groups of institutions that share similar missions and characteristics. </p>

Although it would be more helpful if all the schools in Florida were on the list I still think this is some pretty good information. Also, there is more information on the site on other stuff but the Student Satisfaction really stuck out to me. See below.</p>

<p>Conspicuously absent is UF and a satisfaction rating for UCF.</p>

<p>The NSSE reports are not entirely accurate. In the USF College Portrait, in the student characteristics section it says 41% of USF’s undergraduates are women and 29% men!</p>

It also does not include UM and has a link missing to UWF same as UCF Here is some information below that explains
Why are College Portraits not available for all colleges and universities that are VSA participants?
Institutions are continually signing up to be part of the VSA program and will generally post their College Portraits within 3 to 6 months of their original sign up date.
Why do some College Portraits have missing data?
Because some data items are more difficult to collect than others, a few items have longer timelines and will be posted within 1 to 4 years. </p>
