<p>Hi, I’m an IB student going to community college next year with about a year’s worth of UC credits under my belt from AP/IB tests. I’m looking to do a physics/astrophysics double major at Berkeley as my first choice transfer. In the fall I’ll be applying as a transfer to Berkeley, UCLA, UCSB, and UCSC. All of these schools have equal advantages/disadvantages for me to attend, though I’m gearing my course of study towards Berkeley’s requirements slightly as a personal preference. As I’ll most likely only spend a year at CC, I more or less have to choose between completing UC breadth requirements and completing major requirements. Do I have a higher chance of acceptance one way or the other? Or would it be advisable for me to do two years at a CC since I’ll need to complete these credits one way or another anyway?</p>
