Be careful with University of Pittsburgh because their ChemE is “integrated” which makes me wonder how you could ever get transfer credit for it if doesn’t jibe with another school’s curriculum, should you decide to transfer.

Otherwise, Pittsburgh can be a full ride school.

@ClassicRockerDad‌, what does “integrated” mean?

@ClassicRockerDad‌

At Pitt:
"International students and new transfer students are not eligible for University academic scholarships. "

@jkeil911‌ Go to http://www.engineering.pitt.edu/Chemical/Courses/Undergraduate_V2/

If you click on each course, you can see that each one combines what would be multiple courses at another school. This may be pedagogically fine, however, ChemE is a hard major. Many more people start it than finish it.

What happens if you take one of these courses and transfer. What can a college with a whole different system give you credit for. What prerequisites have you filled. I think one would lose out on transfer credit. It gets very difficult with these nonstandard curricula.

Again, Pitt may or may not be great, but I think this undertaking can be risky.

University of Ohio Honors Tutorial College has the same problem. They offer 1-on-1 tutorial classes just like Oxford and Cambridge. But if you go to transfer, none of the credits transfer.
