Full Scholarships for Out of State Schools (Texas)

Everyone at Marquette gets an average of $14,000 a year. Literally, everyone

This makes no sense, really. Telling people that “everyone” gets an average of $14k would be senseless.

If some get 0 and some get $$30k, and the average award is $14k, that’s not telling anyone that they should expect around $14k in aid.

Look carefully at the words you posted and you’ll see that they don’t make any sense. So, I doubt that the school worded it like you did. They probably just said something like, “the average award is $14k.”

Back to the OP…

Since parents aren’t paying, then a partial tuiton scholarship won’t be nearly enough. This student needs MORE than full tuition because his loan and student earnings won’t be enough to pay for room, board, books, fees, etc.
