For the past three years, I’ve been working full-time and attending CC full-time. I somewhat recently moved to the LA area and found a job a couple of months after arriving. When I was hired I was told that they would work with my school schedule and figure out a way to promote me because I was overqualified for the job that they gave me. Now I’ve found out that a person in upper management said that as long as I have schedule restrictions, I won’t be promoted. I’m currently finishing up pre-requisites for the university that I applied to transfer to (the pre-reqs weren’t required in my old state).
Has anyone found a job that they loved that also let them attend school full-time and paid somewhat decently? I’m nearing 30 and want to get some experience under my belt before I get a degree. I’ll be able to get on my fiancé’s insurance once we get married this summer, so I’m not too worried about that. It’s so difficult to know where to look for a job in this massive city!
