Hello.
Can someone help me please? My GPA dropped to 3.15 and its time for me to transfer to a 4 year college or university. I know I won’t find a full ride scholarship with this type of GPA, but I am looking for a full tuition scholarship for the 2016-2017 academic year. I am a STEM student. I am scared of loan, I can’t afford it right now. I am still taking classes at the community college until I find something.
P.S: The scholarships have to be OOS tuition waiver.
Thanks in advance for your help.
You need to go talk with the Transfer Advisor at your own CC. That person’s whole job is to help students transfer to places they can afford.
You could get OOS tuition waiver + $1000/year at Louisiana Tech. Net tuition would be about $5,500/year
The STEM advisors are leaving the CC next month, they can’t do nothing for us anymore. According to some folks,
the state doesn’t provide “enough money or there’s no fund available for STEM advisors and/or STEM tutoring”. #happymomof1
What state is this?
Is there a general Transfer Advisor at your CC? Happykid’s CC had one. Just one for the entire CC. It didn’t matter what the major was. Her whole job was to help students find good places to continue their studies, and to help them find scholarships.
I live in Illinois #Erin’s Dad.

It sounds like you need a TOTAL tuition waiver.
I don’t think that would happen, even if you had a higher GPA. There are few/no “full tuition” scholarships for transfer students.
Even if you were to find one, you’d still need about $15k to pay for room, board, fees, books, etc.
How much will your family pay?
YOU can only borrow $7500 for junior year.
What IL public is near your home where you can commute to?
