I mostly hear about the difficulties and the low female to male ratio at tech. I hear most students lose their hope and graduate after 5 years at tech instead of four. So how do the students there relax and have fun during their college experience.

I’m almost planning on graduating in five years. I’m sure there will be times I’ll have to retake courses and I definitely want to do at least a semester-long co-op. Five years is quite normal for any field of study at Tech.

As far as having fun, I’m not into parties for the most part. I visualize myself having fun with intramurals, computer/video games, taking MARTA back home for weekends, etc. I wouldn’t worry about finding stuff to do, especially in Atlanta.

You honestly don’t notice the ratio difference. Sure, if you get into the classes, you might notice it. But other than that it’s not that bad. I went to CWT 2 weeks ago and I didn’t notice it. As for things to do, if you go to Tech you’ll be in the middle of Atlanta. You really can’t run out of fun things to do.

atlanta is a great city… there is so much to do
