I’m entering college next year as a history major but I love music. Will I have space in my schedule to take music classes?

If you have space in your schedule, you should be able to take anything that you want. I know that the college I’m going to asks us what other subjects we might be interested in such as Music, Art, Psychology, etc., because we might have extra space on our schedule for other classes.

Basically every major except engineers have space haha!
History majors should have plenty of room for extra classes to meet the number of units to graduate!

Do you mean playing music or just learning about it?

Most likely you will have room unless you take a lighter load, but keep in mind that ensemble type classes where you play instruments may be restricted to music majors or require an audition. If you mean GE-type classes where you learn about music, those shouldn’t be a problem.
