Fun Friday Question: what youthful fashion are you on the edge have having to give up?

Ugh. Anything that shows more than an inch above the knee. Platform heels. 2 pc swim. Shorts.

My upper arms. Gave up on them 5 years ago. Makes it tough to find a swimsuit when your upper arms are saggy and thighs and knees are sagging too!!

Definitely strapless bras. Oh, any top that is mostly polyester, causes a hot flash.

Thanks for all the short suggestions. I’ll check them out! @MotherOfDragons …I’ve always thought loose and flows looks good on thin people as you can already tell they are thin. But at my age, I feel it makes it look like I’m just trying to hide my fat, even if I’m not, …like a Mumu. Not saying tight clothing is the way to go though…

I won’t show my belly even though it isn’t so bad looking. The biggest change, though, is I don’t like to wear heels any more. I probably should look for a modestly heeled pair of shoes that I can walk in well that doesn’t look too matronly. My legs do look better with some heel, but I don’t like having to walk in them.

@Lizardly - have you tried a wedge heel? Much easier to walk in. I am also glad to see that chunkier heels are back in, which have that same attribute.

I think it’s universal that we all have parts we aren’t fans of-I have some tenacious hip chubs that make me crazy, and I wear clothing that doesn’t emphasize them (like lowrider jeans, which I swear to god was invented by a masochist). I like to think of it as flowy clothing isn’t hiding anything; it’s just not having an R rated discussion about it.
