Fun Survey - What's offensive?

<p>I am an undergraduate student looking for volunteers to fill out a survey for me. The survey contains potentially offensive questions and statements. I am asking students to rank them 1-10 on the level of offense with a provided scale.</p>

<p>WARNING: I do not personally hold the following statements to be true, nor am I personally advocating them. </p>

<p>Rank on a level of offense:
1- Not offensive at all

  1. In America, I think that others probably just have had more opportunities in the past to study and go up to thier potential more, while Africans did not, so it might be the reason why that is said. But I don’t think it is true.

  4. I don’t think any crime ever deserves the death penalty, unless they have killed someone.
  5. Even though I am a girl, I think that it is true.
  6. Slavery can never be good. I don’t get how someone can say it is… no matter what.
  7. I think they do because they probably have good a reason to leave their home land for a foreign country.
  8. I myself am a Muslim. I don’t think you should judge a whole group by the actions of a few. Every community has good and bad people. This includes Christians, Jews, etc.
