<p>Cute video. When my son was in HS an English teacher challenged the kids to have a no-screen day. My son chose to do the journal write up on an old portable typewriter I had rescued from a neighbors trash. He was amazed at how hard it was to push the keys. I remember working at an office in my first job and the secretary had a Selectric typewriter with an erasing backspace. I was quite impressed. </p>

<p>Of all my HS classes, typing was probably one of the most useful subjects. Much handier than gym.</p>

<p>I love that video. I especially liked when they were looking for the Return key to go to the next line.</p>

<p>When S1 took a keyboarding class in middle school (it has been a while) it was the first year they had computers. They still had the typewriter text books and made them hit the return key at the end of each line :slight_smile: Drove him nuts. </p>
