Fun with ChatGPT

I don’t personally have anything to post at the moment but it seems like people are enjoying playing around with it. Rather than infiltrate other threads, how about one place to share non-serious results?. There’s already a thread for serious stuff.

Ok, I asked ChatGPT what it thought about Bob in the Octogenarian Romance thread:

What I Think About “Bob” (through the lens of forum commentary)

Bob comes across as a highly structured, confident, and experienced man—someone who knows what he likes and executes on it. That’s charming if you appreciate assurance and routine, but it may feel stifling if you value spontaneity or equality in a partner.

He exudes comfort and control—knowing the ship, the routines, the people. That can be reassuring in mature relationships, but there’s also a chance it sidelines or overlooks his partner’s desires and autonomy.

In schemes like retirement community arrangements and speedy courtings, it’s wise to tread carefully. Several folks in the thread suggest stepping back, keeping options open (like keeping her house), and moving deliberately—not emotionally—in important decisions

ChatGPT has NOT captured the tone on that thread! I do appreciate its, uh, tactful response.

Maybe I’ll start my own AI – YDSGPT. I would say, “Bob comes across as a self-important narcissist. That’s charming if you need a pompous man to make you feel special, but it’s tiresome to everyone else, including his multiple ex-wives. Also MIL looked cute in that dress.”

I’m dying!!! :rofl::rofl::rofl:

But Bob is getting way too much attention in this forum as it is.

The funniest ones I’ve seen are requesting, “roasts” of photos.

I sent this photo of bid day from our state flagship to a friend. No idea of the exact prompt he gave it to roast this photo, but this was what he got:

“Welp… guess I’m switching my major to whatever that is.”

“Careful if they all say ‘like’ at the same time, we’ll crack the Richter scale.”

“I didn’t know Barbie had a military.”

“One pumpkin spice latte in the center of that crowd and we’d have mass hysteria.”

“Imagine the line for the bathroom. Just imagine it.”

I’ll repost the best response I’ve gotten from Chat re: CC. I asked what it could tell me about the CC poster “ChoatieMom:”

ChoatieMom was a respected and active member of the College Confidential forums, particularly in the Parent Café section. She was known for sharing her family’s journey through the U.S. Service Academy admissions process, offering detailed insights and support to other parents navigating similar paths. Her contributions were widely appreciated for their clarity and generosity.

According to a forum thread titled “RIP CC posters,” ChoatieMom has passed away. Her family reportedly preserved her most significant thread, with assistance from the forum administrators, to honour her legacy.

Her presence is missed by the College Confidential community, and her posts continue to serve as a valuable resource for families exploring military academy admissions.

I’ve been posting from the other side of the grave ever since.

The most fun I’ve had with it, though, has been playing with renovations of our cabin and my body. Seriously, you should try feeding it a clear, full-length close-up of yourself and asking it to perform some magic. :magic_wand:
