Funded UConn or Unfunded Tamu, Umass Amherst, UMN

Hi!

I have been accepted with funding to UConn’s Electrical Engineering PhD program. I also have unfunded acceptances from TAMU, UMass Amherst, and UMN (all for PhD). I am going directly for the PhD, and I don’t have an MS Degree.

The options for me are to either go for UConn, or take loans for other schools until I get an assistant-ship.

So I just wanted to ask whether UConn will be a good school for me considering the job prospects after I complete my studies? (My focus is on Computer engineering). Also, how do UConn engineering graduates fare in the industry, its closer to the Boston area than UMass, so job prospects must be better I presume?

Thanks
