Funding

For engineering grad school funding, what type of students usually get funding, for example, is it the same criteria used in grad school admissions where well-roundness and extracurriculars that are not relevant to the major don’t matter?

What kind of degree are you going for, a M.S. or Ph.D. If the Masters, then there is usually little funding as it is considered a professional degree. There might be a small amount of scholarship money available. For Ph.D. it is a bit different because departments want to support their Ph.D. students throughout their studies, either as a Teaching or Research assistant or with fellowships.

as for admission criteria. Usually the most important thing is academics, GRE scores and research experience.

Phd, i would like to apply to directphd. I think you forgot LORs and SOPs.
