My dad’s best friend in high school, was, wait for it,

Harold Bahls

The principal at my wife’s high school was Harry Dick. He changed his name to Henry (as if that helped).

Isn’t there a NASCAR driver named Dick Trickle?

Don’t know why this tickled me so much but there is a shoestore on the 101 freeway bewteen LA and SF, near a place we stop for gas called “Shalom Town.”

Pho Shizzle :(

As if Hank Dick was better

My shop teacher in middle school was named Harry Crack.

There was a famous restaurant in Honolulu called “Wo Fat.”

There was a family in town who named each of their kids after the names of the scale–“Dodo, Rere, Meme, Fafa, Soso. Lala, Titi”

Where I used to live there is a “Yow Chiropractic Clinic.” Run by Dr. Yow.

On our way home from Gatlinburg last year, we passed a restaurant called ‘Chunks’. Is there any doubt why it had gone out of business? Now that is an appetite suppressant.

The medical practice of Dr. Wabba Wabba Wabba (First, middle, and last name)

There are doctors in my home state with some very unappealing names Dr. Blood and Dr. Savage come to mind immediately. Somehow I don’t think they would be my first choice of physicians. Our pastor was made for the business of being a pastor though, he was the Reverand Chaplain.

It has been many years but I still remember graduating HS with Harry Pitts, Willy Hurt (only if you hit him), and Ed Chu. The first two were unfortunate name choices that generated lots of similar jokes, but poor Ed Chu was greeted by the entire senior class sneezing when his name was called at graduation.

That’s hilarious!

Yesterday I passed a van advertising for “I Shoot Brides” photography, I once received an ad for “Boober’s Beepers” based in Titusville, Florida, and Harry Bott left my school a few years ago (the jokes, however, live on).
