<p>As much as I think my own PE stories are harrowing, it’s amazing to listen to the high school football stories of the guys my age…boys who missed a pass in the game were roughed up by the other players at the direction of the coach at the next practice…then sent to the nurse with some lie about what happened, or grudingly sent to the ER if the bleeding wouldn’t stop. These stories are all told laughingly by Texas good old boys, but wow! just wow!</p>
