Browsing the Saks website on Friday, I noticed a holiday pillow for ‘Santa Clause’. even I, a non-native speaker, knew the error! With nothing else to do, I decided to alert the company to their perceived error. Within a short period, I received a response thanking me and stating
Was it a novelty/joke pillow? The response seems to indicate that the “error” was intentional. What was the image on the pillow? Just Santa or Santa doing something? Otherwise, yes, odd, and one for the Clearance bin.
ETA: In my undergrad days, the big campus sport shop received a shipment of misprinted “Michigen” shirts. They sold out in a day. This English major bought one.
I bought a piece of wall decor at Dollar General- I just couldn’t resist. It has three pieces of wood, and the way it is assembled it reads:
Blessings

We have a wall that’s kind of weird (for instance, we “temporarily” covered a hole in the wall with framed art- about 12 inches off the floor. We say it’s for the cats to enjoy). So it went on that wall too.
Definitely not a joke because the description says, “Hand Embroidered Fully Beaded Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Pillow”!
I have a large sofa pillow embroidered with the Seattle skyline. The Pike Place Market is definitely misplaced… not even close to where it is supposed to be. I bought it as a conversation piece to amuse visitors. Find what is wrong with the picture…
I went to a trade show once and saw all the embroidered pillow covers that were ”seconds”. I bought two and was able to correct the spelling with a little embroidery of my own.
One said “Prinoess sleeps here”. Was able to change it to “Princess sleeps here,”.for D. We all got a chuckle out of it for the $1 it cost plus 5 minutes of my time embroidering the edit.
