Future doctors - Are you concerned about the stability of your hands?

Curious about how shaky/weak hands and arms, for instance, could limit one’s career in the medical field.

So what medical profession are you considering?
Is the stability of your hands a concern (particularly for those thinking about being surgeons)?
If it is, are you taking or thinking about taking any precautions to address this?
Do you know of any solutions that current doctors employ?

Oh lol! I read the heading of this post as far as “are you concerned about the stability of….” and I thought you were asking about healthcare in general. Now that’s something to worry about.

(And BTW, it’s not likely you’d become a surgeon if you had stability issues.)

DS once mentioned that he would not want to be a surgeon because his career would be ended prematurely if his hands are damaged for some reason.

In my opinion, if his hand develops some problem in the future, it is more likely because he plays on his music instrument too much for too many years.
